frankenstein's meme #17
Saturday, 19 October 2024 00:3317. What is your favourite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?
well, kpop, obviously LOL both as a fandom in general and for rpf reasons. I know I complain a lot, but it's still a really fun environment to me because wdym I get singing, dancing, group dynamics/found family-isms, AND a bunch of people also into the same thing? and all of it at the same time?! incredible.
jokes aside though, I do think kpop offers so much. there are different things to explore (dramas, varieties, vlogs/video content, competition shows, culture and language, concerts) all of it loosely or directly tied to your favorite artists - and no one has the exact same kpop experience, so to speak. that makes it a very dynamic fandom to me.
after that, it's TV shows. I wish I could be more into anime, book fandoms sound fun in theory, and I'd ramble a little more about that but I took some paracetamol and am very sleepy now so good night, the answer is kpop!
