I immediately thought of it when I saw tbz's new single teaser lol


these past few days I realized that while yes, I've been depressed this year and not really keeping up with new releases... I've also had less and less things to check out. I got SO into 3ye and tri_be, but then... yeah. purple kiss never leaves my playlists, but then... yeah. mamamoo hasn't released new music in 4 years as a full group? (although mmm+ is great.) idle's new sound isn't my cup of tea so I skipped this whole era of promotions. wjsn... yeah. I've known this to be the way kpop moves since forever; I've gotten really into groups in the past only for them to disband before/after their first comeback. but still, it always sucks when that happens. and I'm not as passionate about solo activies as I am about group ones, so the fact that mamamoo has been consistently releasing solos doesn't make me as excited as a group album would.

it is a bit funny sometimes to open, say, mnet's channel to see what mama performances I'm interested in watching. turns out the answer this year was (1). and I didn't even like it! (sorry, idle, I'm happy for you, but I really don't jibe with this era.) I'm a picky listener, I like to live in my little musical bubble, so I'm not mad about it, it's just amusing. someone get tbz oneus viviz stayc twice in a festival together just so I have more than one video to watch for once!!!

you get it... I've been slowly running out of energy over the years so I stopped watching it live but I used to at least have a handful of videos to watch afterwards lol

and I should clarify that I was fooled by the articles, they were talking about "a possible mamamoo comeback after 4 years" but they meant that for 2026 - actually it's been 3 years since "mic on"!! it will have been 4 years once they have a comeback next year (if they do...)
