sunshine revival challenge #6
once again I'm so sleepy and tired I'm just gonna make a post to keep my eyes open. picture me as tom from tom & jerry putting toothpicks under his eyelids to stay awake.
Challenge #6
Journaling prompt: What games do you play, if any? Are you a solo-gamer or do you view games as a social activity?
I haven't been playing much these days but if I do, it's either the sims 4 or baldur's gate 3. what I have installed right now is ts4, bg3, stardew valley, 7 days to die, and paladins. (pokemon tcgp, solitaire, and rummikub on my phone if that counts??? I love solitaire...)
considering that a) I'm too introverted, b) online games with strangers are always a nightmare, and c) I've never been able to play as much as I want to for a number of reasons, I'm more of a solo gamer! but I like playing with friends too. you know what, lemme organize this.
games I've played/have been playing in 2025:
ts4: I'm on gen 4 of my not so berry challenge and dragging my feet a little bit because my favoritest son is an elder now so, well........ I have a tbz save too (yes), and *another* tbz save (yeah I know) I created to test the small businesses pack, but both are on hold for obvious reasons. off the top of my head I have two other saves: a decades challenge that idk if I wanna continue but that I had fun creating because I broke the rules and made lesbians instead of a straight couple in the 1800s (#IMAKETHERULES) and a save with lesbians running a ranch together in chestnut ridge. yeah, I guess I miss riding a horse...

my SON that I birthed!!!
bg3: as soon as I got to act 3, I got cold feet LOL I've been dreading doing the gortash fight (is it a fight??? I don't even know, I'm SCARED), so whenever I open the game I try to find a different thing to do... I wanna finish the game though, because I wanna start over and do things a little less haphazardly now. I started playing with zero idea of how anything worked so I didn't realize all tavs were randomized the same and only bulked up mine but kept all traits/looks pretty much the same (I still love her), and I also... did not......... find lae'zel... so I've never played with her??? I got will's arc all wrong too, I wanna try doing it differently.

tav, my beloved.... her, my lotro character, and that 1 rpg character I made once are the closest I have to ocs lol
games I played a lot and play sometimes when the mood strikes:
I have enough hours on paladins for it to be embarrassing. online games like this kinda suck because gamers make it so playing with strangers just isn't fun most of the time... to make matters worse I main healers, so 70% of the time when I'm playing paladins someone ends up being a jerk and we lose because I refuse to heal jerks. "HEAL ME" no ❤️ fuck off and die ❤️
stardew valley is fun too! but having to do the caves kills me inside, don't make me fight bats, I just wanna farm...
7 days to die is great and I love the crafting in it, but again, I'm so bad at it LOL I tried starting a new save recently and my character is already dying with no way for me to heal him. so... yeah. valheim is great too but I haven't tried playing by myself, I have a feeling it's not gonna go well either. let me hunt for food and materials while you figure out how to build things!!! a while after I read saltjoons' "there was only one bed (in-game)" I realized I'm 100% juyeon in it LOL I like to be helpful but I suck at the harder parts of games, someone pls carry me.
games I don't play because I'm truly terrible at it but I really liked them:
lotro, overwatch, apex legends (it was SO MUCH FUN), tomb raider, dead by daylight.
games I played ages ago but would play again given the chance because I'm either nostalgic or just very fond of it:
silent hill, fatal frame, resident evil. I've been recommended re8 twice recently and I wanna give it a try, but I never got used to playing RE on pc...
