I really thought I'd write so much of my hakoween fic #2 today, considering I had a free schedule... instead I spent the day in bed with cramps, so. [I GUESS meme.jpg] let's talk ships, at least.
11. Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
since I already mentioned otps recently, and just overall favorites a while ago, lemme talk about the ships I've just been thinking about these days, for one reason or another.
1. sangnyu: again, I mentioned this recently, but can we talk about sangnyu... from chanhee being so in love with sangyeon's voice that he wanted to be in the room while sangyeon practiced for his musical, to that cute little moment of him just snuggling up to him during one of tbz's game content videos, to sangyeon making reservations for chanhee in jeju (are we sure they didn't get married sometime this year?!), to the fake date content in which they were both SO chill and so game for it... they were never a top priority ship for me but they Existed in my head, since I have an old prompt for them that never came to be.
I think I just like the idea of chanhee, who very much likes to take care of people and being taken care of, meeting I Am So Self-Sufficient You Wouldn't Believe It extraordinaire sangyeon. the person who hates being alone and the guy who goes backpacking alone in europe LOL and not to sound too much like a gemini but I feel like they could have a bit of a role reversal too; sangyeon who tries to shoulder so much responsibility letting chanhee spoil him, and chanhee who never gets to lead much with so many #independent people around him getting to fully step into the caring, protector role for once.
2. bbangric: this will sound funny because I always write both members in different ships but I... don't quite know how to write bbangric? I tried! I have a prompt and a few thousand words in gdocs to show for it!! but for some reason that's just not working, I don't know why. they're cute and their lives together back when they were still roommates are VERY dear to me, I've been thinking of them all year, so like... why can't I write them >:( goal for 2025?
(edited to add because I FORGOT?: I did start a bbangmilric, and that was working beautifully, so maybe the secret is trying the ot3 first before I try bbangric by themselves...)

tullycat's ot3 post made me curious to check which ships I've written the most and which I haven't written at all, just for funsies. and bbangric really is one of the 3 younghoon ships I've never tackled... which makes NO sense, why haven't I written my biases smooching yet? who hurt me?!
including ot3/ot4/ot+, otp:true, and side/background pairings in finished fics. the math might be off but shhh let's pretend I can count
clearly I don't write a lot of sangyeon, and sunwoo is my 3rd least written member... which might explain why I'm always missing writing him lol I want to write him, though! in the past year I've gone through a bajillion sunric prompts in my head, started a milsun that never went anywhere, and kinda thought of writing sunkyu for halloween but I'm feeling like kyeopmuda is not the way to go to overcome my sunwoo ship draught.
so technically, I don't have a sunwoo ship in mind but I've been thinking of writing him. so:
3. sunwoo/?: the obvious answer is always haknyeon because I have serious issues, but even my sunhaking isn't inspiring me right now. they're usually just exes in the background in most of my prompt ideas. I don't see myself writing sangsun or jusun anytime soon, but who knows - I couldn't see myself writing hyunjae/maknaeline either a couple years ago and look at me now lol kyeopmuda is out too, although I'll always have a soft spot for sunnyu.
so that leaves me with suncob (excellent), bbangsun (ALSO excellent), milsun (curious to see where that could go), sunkev (always a delight), and sunric (took me a while but I've grown really fond).
what's the conclusion here? there's no conclusion, I've just been thinking of writing sunwoo for months now, but that hasn't materialized into anything concrete.
4. moonbae + nyumoon (in all flavors): truth is, I've been enjoying kev ships in general these days, but particularly moonbae have been moonbaeing SO HARD!!! I had a blast writing them recently. turning them into an ot3 is even better - milcobkev or bbangmoonbae in particular are such good ot3s to me. BUT! I've also been so fond of nyumoon... it's another ship I've tried writing a few times, never very successfully, but I haven't given up! (I think.) genuinely no idea why I find it so hard - is it because I always try to make it too emotional and introspective? lol maybe. one day I'll figure it out, though. I can't stop thinking about that video of them at the 2NE1 concert with chanhee laying his head on kevin's shoulder...
and yes, I do like the idea of a moonbaenyu ot3, obviously. I just haven't thought of anything in particular for the 3 of them, but they'd be a really cute combination of people. kevin would be SO LOVED, jacob would be at his softest, and chanhee would just feel safe and right at home... just thinking about them makes me sigh. maybe I should think of an ot3 prompt at some point.

and re: sangsun, yeah, they went from notp to "huh, ok, I guess I'm not entirely opposed" (same with jusun), and now I'm slowly warming up to them one cute moment at a time... which btw, thanks again LOL
