frankenstein's meme #21 - #30
as it usually happens, dreamwidth got pushed to the bottom of my list of priorities when I got a little too distracted with other things... my priority for the last leg of october was hakoween, I was so happy I got to finish all 3 main prompts I had thought of! then the tbz comeback happened and I've been tbzing 24/7, no time for Thoughts, only Trigger. (and some small anxiety over what the near future holds.) (it's fine. we're all fine.)
anyways, I'll answer the last few questions for the meme in one post then.
Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you dislike or even loathe.)
characters I dislike... I can't think of anyone other than essek (cr)? lol travis (yellowjackets) is annoying but in a very in-character way imo, I like what his character brings to the story, even if just tangentially. essek has an incredible design though, I like everything from the purple motif to the white hair. which is a funny thing to say about a character we're all mostly hallucinating in our heads, cr is not a visual medium, but well. that's what I like about him, he looks cool!
Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
ASHTON GREYMOORE!!! sorry I've been catching up on cr, the characters are fresh on my mind. mollymauk and dorian too, my beloveds... I'm so tempted to say paris (gilmore girls) but she'd so tell me to fuck off. lottie (yellowjackets) and shane (tlw) seem like safe (and relatable) bets but can I also say... eve (ke) and tai (yellowjackets) lol we'd all ghost each other after two texts but that's fine. #FRIENDSHIP
Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
none because I can change my mind later on, but some pretty solid ones off the top of my head: juyeon likes to be the little spoon, despite recent events eric is smart 😭 and would do well in any profession, and sunwoo likes to pretend he's less soft-hearted than he actually is. milcob are into some kinky stuff! younghoon is game for anything but he prefers to bottom. in every universe chanhee had/has a bit of a crush on kevin.

more so in tv shows but stuff to do with blood relations usually annoys the hell out of me. "I can't get pregnant so I'll never be a mother and that kills me" is wild because it's usually treated like infertility is a punshiment and the end of the road and... it's just not? if the author can write you getting shot in the lung and surviving, I'm sure they can write you successfully going through the process of adopting a kid. you can still be a parent!!! also the "I'm adopted but I want to find my Real Parents" trope. I'm not adopted so what do I even know, but it always sounds like it was written by a biological child who can't fathom someone being raised by non-biological parents and being happy with it. "real parents" as opposed to what, bro? imaginary parents?

I've tried my hand at tv show fic a couple times but it's been a whiiile. the last time I tried it was a reid-centric criminal minds fic and I gave up FAST when I realized I can't write his pov LOL too much brain, I can't keep up.

more bbangsun, pls 🤲 ok but seriously, bbangsun and suncob deserve more love. not enough 97z smut either and I say this as part of the problem... for the third, idk. more canon compliant!! just because.
